Name of Military topographic management from 1919 has been changed to Department of corps of Military topographers. (Управление корпуса военных топографов).

From December 10, 1923 DCMT was reorganized into Military-topographic department of the RKKA Staff (военно-топографический отдел Штаба РККА).
Since June 20, 1924 DCMT reorganized into Military- topographical Department (Военно-топографическое управление).
July 22, 1926 MTD was transferred to the General Directorate of RKKA of the.

From June 21, 1931 Military topographic department became known as Department of Military topographers (Управлением военных топографов.)
Since November 1934 DMT became a Department of military topographic service (отдел военно-топографической службы).
26.07.1940 The General Staff of the RKKA was transformed into the Red Army General Staff (Генеральный штаб Красной Армии (ГШ КА)). It is need to notice new RKKA maps in scale 1:25000, 1:50000, 1:100000, 1:200000, 1:500000, 1:1000000 (international map), which were published after 1930. New standarts, quality let reput these maps as example of the best maps. In other side background of RKKA maps is different - maps were prepared using new survey, new materials also old topographical amterial.
